Update for 2002.

• Potatoes - (Desiree) - planted 3 rows, and harvested enough potatoes to fill 1 1/2 sacks.

• Lettuce - (all year round) - made a mistake here, and planted an entire row all at once. Many were thrown away, because they went to seed.

• Swede - (Marian) - got a good crop out of 1/2 a row.

• Parsnip - (The Student) - again, a good crop out of 1/2 a row.

• Runner beans - carrier bags full from only 6 plants. Still eating them in 2003 (we froze many of them).

• Carrots - (Autumn King) - Also a good crop from 1 row, but lost some due to thinning out to much along the row.

• Strawberries (okay, so they're not a vegetable, they're a fruit, but we still grew them on the plot) - Produced for a few months, and got a fair few.

• Cucumber - (Burpless F1 hybrid) - Grew these at home in a grow bag, due to lack of space on the plot. Got over 30 cucumbers from 3 plants.

• Onions - (turbo) - 1 full row gave us a good crop.

• More Onions (planted for growing over winter) - 4 quarter filled row still to be lifted.
